Enjoy three nights at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, giving you ample time for relaxed, extended game drives in one of Africa's finest wildlife destinations. With drive-in to Amboseli, fly from Amboseli to the Mara, and fly from the Mara back to Nairobi, this itinerary minimises long road journeys and maximises your time on safari.

Your Day-by-Day Experiences

Day1
Nairobi → Amboseli

Nairobi – Amboseli | Mount Kilimanjaro & Elephants (Approx. 4 hours)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive towards Amboseli National Park.

Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge, beautifully positioned within the park, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive across Amboseli's open plains and wetlands. Amboseli is famous for its magnificent elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro when the skies are clear. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and giraffes before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Amboseli | Full-Day Safari Adventure

Enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli National Park.

Start with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the morning light creates excellent photography conditions. Explore the park's diverse habitats, including its wetlands and open plains. Keep watch for large elephant herds, predators and plains game. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive. With clear skies, enjoy another magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro before returning to Ol Tukai for your final evening.

Day3
Amboseli → Masai Mara

Amboseli – Masai Mara | Scenic Bush Flight (Approx. 1 hour)

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to the airstrip for your flight from Amboseli to the Masai Mara.

Leave the long road journey behind and enjoy spectacular aerial views of Kenya's changing landscapes. On arrival in the Mara, meet your safari guide and begin your game drive en route to Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and settle into your accommodation. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. Return to Mara Serena as the sun sets across the savannah.

Masai Mara | Full-Day Big Five Safari

Wake up early and enjoy a full day exploring the Masai Mara.

Your experienced guide will follow wildlife movements and explore different areas of the reserve in search of the best sightings. The Mara is famous for its excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and buffaloes, alongside giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your afternoon game drive. During the Great Migration season, your guide can also monitor the Mara River and surrounding areas depending on herd movements. Return to Mara Serena in the evening.

Masai Mara

Masai Mara | Another Full Day in the Wild

Enjoy another full day of safari in the Masai Mara.

After breakfast, set out with your guide to explore areas not covered on the previous day. The additional time allows you to enjoy the Mara at a relaxed pace, spend longer with wildlife sightings and search for species you may not yet have encountered. Depending on the season, explore areas where wildebeest herds are concentrated or monitor the Mara River for possible crossing activity. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon safari. Return to Mara Serena for your final night.

Masai Mara – Nairobi | Fly Home
