This is a budget safari that will bring you closer to the flora and fauna of the Crescent Island in Naivasha, where you’ll have an experience on a boat ride that gets you to the Island and have a nature walk while viewing the harmless wildlife at a very close range. Also, you’ll visit the home of the African Big Five (Maasai Mara) famously known for the 8th Wonder of the World (wildebeest migration) between July to October. Lastly, you'll get an experience of the local culture of the Maasai.

Day 1: Nairobi - Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from JKIA, SGR, or a residential area as early as 6:00 am EAT and drive to Masai Mara via Nairobi-Nakuru-Narok road. On the way, you’ll have a few stopovers, at the Great Rift Valley View which is the longest rift in the world. Here, you will learn more about the Rift Valley and also have an opportunity to have photos for your memory. Later you’ll proceed to Travelers’ Chapel which is the smallest church that accommodates a maximum of three people at a time. After this, you’ll drive to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to Crescent Island for nature walks and game viewing. Thereafter, you'll go for an early lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a journey to Masai Mara via Naivasha – Mai Mahiu – Narok road with a stopover at the Maasai Village to learn more about the traditional ways of life. Later, you'll check into your camp for dinner and a sleepover.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll head out for an early morning game drive by 6:00 am EAT with picnic breakfast. This will grant you an opportunity to have a view of the early sunrise on the beautiful plains of the savannah grassland, be on the lookout to spot wildlife nature, and visit the Mara River which is the main source of life in the Mara ecosystem. Along the Mara River, you’ll be able to spot a large number of Nile crocodiles and hippopotamuses that make the Mara River to be termed the most hazardous river in the world. During the Great Wildebeest migration season, you may be able to spectate a huge number of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Mara Triangle or the greater Mara in search of greener pastures. Later on, you’ll head back to the lodge for a late lunch an evening relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

After breakfast, you’ll be expected to check out of the lodge by 9:30 a.m. EAT, with picnic lunch boxes and start the journey back to Nairobi via Narok-Mai Mahiu-Nairobi road. A few stops will be made for health breaks and a chance for one to visit the gift shops to grab something for your loved ones back home or have some bites before driving on to Nairobi at your preferred destination. This will mark the end of your wonderful adventure in Kenya.
