6 Days of Kenyan Wildlife, Horse Riding and Cycling Adventures

On arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport, hotel, or a place of residence within Nairobi by 7:00 am EAT. You'll embark on your journey to Masai Mara via Nairobi – Mai Mahiu – Narok road with stopovers at the Great Rift Valley viewpoints, the travelers' church, and Narok town before checking in at Mara Maisha for lunch. Later on, you'll have an afternoon game drive on the plain savanna grasslands of Mara as you spot a variety of wildlife species before embarking on dinner and stayover.

The Great Rift Valley is the longest strip in the world with 9600 km from Mozambique to the Red Sea formed through faulting and sinking with attractive geographical features. On the other hand, the travelers’ church built by the Italian prisoners of war in 1942 is the smallest in Africa, pentagon-shaped and decorated with descriptions in Latin, and can only accommodate a maximum of three worshipers.

You will have breakfast by 7:00 a.m. EAT and head to a full-day game drive. This grants you an opportunity to spot more wildlife animals and visit the border between Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Reserve. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, or experience more wildebeest migration during the migration period between July to September. After the full-day game drive, you’ll head back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara simply known as Mara, is named in honor of the Maasai people. Mara means "spotted" in the local Maasai language due to the many short bushy trees that dot the landscape. It's renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration which is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and one of the 10 Wonders of the World.

Get ready for an exhilarating adventure as you start your day with an early morning horse riding experience at 6:00 AM sharp. Set off to a designated spot in Maasai Mara, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the vast landscapes aboard a horse. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Maasai Mara as you interact with the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit this reserve.
After this invigorating activity, recharge with a delightful breakfast that will fuel you up for an additional two-hour game drive. Explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve in search of more wildlife sightings and unforgettable moments. You'll return to the lodge for a delicious lunch and spend the afternoon hours unwinding within the lodge's facilities, or opt for a late afternoon game drive. Later, in the evening, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today's adventure begins with breakfast at your lodge, followed by checking out at 8:00 AM EAT. Buckle up as you hit the road to Naivasha, making brief stops along the way for health breaks and to stretch your legs. Upon reaching Naivasha, you'll check in at your lodge and indulge in a delicious hot lunch. Take some time to unwind and relax for an hour, soaking in the serene surroundings.

In the evening, get ready for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island. Here, you'll embark on nature walks, immersing yourself in the beauty of the landscape and observing the diverse birdlife. After a mesmerizing experience, return to your lodge for a delightful dinner and spend the night surrounded by the tranquility of Naivasha.

Start your day with a scrumptious breakfast at 8:00 AM, then hop into your vehicle for a thrilling drive to Hell's Gate National Reserve. Once there, gear up for an exhilarating bicycle ride through the park. This activity not only allows you to get a great workout but also offers the chance to encounter the diverse wildlife that calls this park home, along with many other captivating attractions.

During your ride, you'll also learn about the fascinating history behind the creation of Hell's Gate National Reserve and the reasons behind its conservation efforts. Gain insights into the park's significance and conservation initiatives as you pedal through its breathtaking landscapes. After an invigorating workout and exploration session, return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the lodge's facilities and activities while eagerly anticipating a delicious dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

This marks our last day of adventure. You'll bid farewell to your lodge as you check out by 8:30 AM EAT. Embark on the drive back to Nairobi, making brief stops along the way to stretch your legs and perhaps take in some last-minute sights.
